Saving Animals & Finding Homes

About legacy farms

First and foremost, Legacy is a place that is home to many people and animals such as horses, cows, chickens, dogs, cats, and the notorious Pepa the Pig.

Our family purchased this property as a home but now it acts as many things! It is a wedding venue and event center, a tree nursery, and -as you know- an equine rescue.

What Drives Us

Our Mission

Our goal is to save as many horses as we can!

At the end of the day, it is all about seeing a horse happy and healthy. Reaching the light at the end of the tunnel is what it is all about, and that is what motivates our team.

Family & Community

Here at Legacy Farms, we take our community very seriously by actively participating in functions and events that will guide the future generation of equestrian and agricultural care.

Kari Ward

Founder & owner

Kari cares for the animals day to day needs while continually evolving the facilities and capabilities of Legacy Farms.

Her passion for family, children, and animals motivate her participation in her community. Currently, she acts as the WAHSET Secretary and King County 4H Community President.

Nikiah Moss

EPR Queen / Horse rehabilitation

Nikiah is lucky to call Legacy Farms “home”. Her way with horses allows her to participate in horse rehabilitation while providing horse care.

Currently, Nikiah participates in her community 4h program, and WAHSET High School Equestrian team all while serving as the 2021 Enumclaw Pro Rodeo Queen.

Because of her passion for animals, Nikiah is on her way towards a career within animal care.
